About Maharajji

Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately called Maharajji, was born around 1900 in Akbarpur, Uttar Pradesh. A wandering saint devoted to Lord Hanuman, he spent decades traveling across North India before settling into the ashrams and temples that would become his legacy.

Maharajji never gave formal lectures. He taught through presence, love, and the simplest of instructions: “Love everyone, serve everyone, and remember God.” He fed the hungry, healed the sick, and saw God in every person he met, from village farmers to prime ministers.

His devotees span the globe: Ram Dass, Krishna Das, Steve Jobs, and countless others were transformed by his grace. Maharajji left his body on September 11, 1973 in Vrindavan, but devotees everywhere continue to feel his presence and live by his teachings of unconditional love and selfless service.
